I was so blessed to grow up attending church on Sundays with my family.  I started taking some classes required by the church when I was 12 which led me to begin asking all kinds of questions.  It was then that I learned about what Christ did for me and how He desires to have control of my life.  However, I did not fully understand that concept until I was 17 and in the midst of a heated recruiting battle.  I was completely unsure of where I was supposed to go to college, and the coaches wanted an answer quick.  I realized through the stress, pressure, and worry that I had put basketball equal with God, and therefore I could not find peace with the decision.  I recommitted my entire life, including basketball, to God. I knew that He had already selected the school for me.  Since then, I have been continually growing in my faith and walk with Jesus.  In college, I got involved in some great campus programs for Christian athletes.  I was able to witness several teammates surrender their hearts and lives to Jesus as well as go on several mission trips.  Now that I am in LA, I hope to continue to use my basketball life to influence others.
